Designing environmentally and public health-friendly new processes and services, tailored to customer needs and technically and economically efficient, is the mission of Veolia Environnement researchers.

Research & Development: Network Power

With a budget of roughly 140 million euros, research and technical development employs nearly 400 researchers and 400 field developers, in three networked research centers: the Water Research Center, the Environmental Services and Energy Research Center and the Transportation Research Center. Located in Ile-de-France and specializing in water, environmental services, energy and transportation, our three main research centers have affiliates or satellites in Germany, Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

They also possess highly sophisticated tools and methods, including modeling, computer simulation, logistics and operations research. They perform their tests on installations ranging from pilots to pre-industrial on-site units, wrapping up each study with field validation testing carried out by operations personnel.
They are supported by one of Europe’s largest analytical laboratory networks, the Centre d'Analyses Environnementales (CAE), or Environmental Analysis Center.
